Venus Erbium Laser Procedure The outer layer of skin is removed in this procedure with the goal of rejuvenating the skin to an even tone and smooth, glowing surface. Common chemical peels and microdermabrasion remove skin to a depth of 5 nm, but Venus erbium laser delivers to a depth of 30-60 nm. At this depth, acne scars, chicken pox scars, wrinkles, benign lesions and pigments are treated.
